CJD Maximiliansau (CS)
CJD – Creating participation in life and society
The CJD was founded in 1947 and is a registered charity organization. CJD stands for „Christliches Jugenddorfwerk Deutschlands“ (Christian Association of Youth Villages).
Back then the central idea was stamped „Let no one fall by the wayside!“. Today this means everybody is entitled to participate in life and in society.
The CJD enables people to make their lives successful.
The strengths of CJD are networked services based on the needs of people in all stages of life that are supported by the vision of an inclusive society. CJD is a quality provider and network designer in the social space and works with suitable partners.
CJD Employees form a community that has its basis in the Christian values of humanity.
Every year the CJD offers 155,000 young and adult people orientation and opportunities for the future. More than 9,500 full-time and many volunteer staff at over 150 locations offer support, teach training skills and provide education.
In its schools, vocational centers, counselling and support facilities, the CJD promotes the educational needs of young people and adults – for example by helping adolescents with learning disabilities find apprenticeships, by teaching highly gifted students or students afflicted with asthma at special schools, through social integration programs for young immigrants, by providing work opportunities for disabled persons or people in need of support.
International understanding and worldwide collaboration are the basis for humans to live together peacefully in today´s global world. The CJD´s aim is to increase young people´s experience of other cultures and their acceptance, for example by setting up international youth exchange programs, organizing internships abroad and school exchanges.
The quality of work in CJD results from decades of experience and partly from an extensive, comprehensive quality management: processes and procedures within the CJD are recorded and are continually monitored and optimized.
